Hasanat ("the App") is a Quran reading and learning application developed for the Muslim community. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting it.

Data Collection

The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All reading history, bookmarks, achievements, and progress data are stored locally on your device only.

What Data is Stored Locally

• Reading progress: Pages read, verses viewed, reading sessions — stored on-device only
• Bookmarks: Your saved positions in the Quran — stored on-device only
• Achievement badges: Your earned badges and Hasanat count — stored on-device only
• Challenge history: Your quiz scores and daily challenge results — stored on-device only
• App preferences: Language, theme, and notification settings — stored on-device only

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• EveryAyah.com: Used for Quran audio recitation streaming. No personal data is shared with this service. Only verse/chapter identifiers are sent to retrieve audio files.

The App does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Permissions

• SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM: Used solely for daily reading reminder notifications. This is optional and user-controlled.
• Internet access: Required only for streaming Quran audio recitations.

Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties. No personal information is collected, and therefore nothing is shared, sold, or transferred.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all app data by:

• Uninstalling the app, or
• Going to Android Settings → Apps → Hasanat → Clear Data

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal data from children under 13. The App is suitable for all ages and contains only Quranic content.

Security

All data remains on your device and is protected by your device's built-in security measures. No data is transmitted over the internet except audio streaming requests.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
